Season 2
UPFRONT Moment: My Story of Belonging
A personal UPFRONT Moment from my heart to yours. My story of belonging. “True belonging doesn’t require that we change who we are; it requires that we be who we are” Brene Brown
Episode 4: Matrescence and confidence with Zoe Blaskey Motherkind
Episode 3: Confidence and choice - the foundation of friendship
Zoe Blaskey is the Founder of Motherkind; the iTunes number-one podcast is an invitation to ditch the guilt, anxiety and feelings of overwhelm to find the calm amidst the chaos of parenthood. We talk about motherhood, confidence and the change we want to see in the world. Zoe shares her complicated relationship with risk, how her confidence has changed and is shifting as her ambition grows.
This week in our UPFRONT Moment we talk about friendship, confidence and choice. Friendships can build us up, tear us down, define us, or destroy us. From best friends to toxic friends, to work wives and everything in between. Join me and Nagela in an open and honest conversation about friendship.
Episode 2:
What’s your marathon?
We can become people who do things that we used to believe weren't for people like us. This episode dives into who, what, where and why of my crazy ass decision to sign up for a Marathon.
Season 1 Episode 1:
How to lead with kindness
You can be kind and confident, kind and revolutionary, kind and powerful. Kindness is an invisible competitive advantage in business and life. I’m here to make it visible.
Do you know the difference between being nice and being kind? This UPFRONT moment is about YOU being confidently kind in leadership and business.
Episode 3: Let’s talk about money
Money is political. I believe that no matter your race, gender, geographic location or the systemic injustices that are racked up against you, you CAN make more money. You deserve to make more money.
If we want the world to be more UPFRONT - where kind leadership and gentle, imperfect activism is the norm - you NEED to make more money.
Episode 5:
When positvity hold hands with anger
This week we’re talking about POSITIVITY because I believe that finding positivity in hard circumstances is a skill we can learn and I believe that positivity and power are inherently linked.
I see positivity as part of my job, my service to others and my responsibility.
When positivity holds hands with your anger and frustration it gives you more power to take action.

Episode 7:
Why being ‘difficult’ is necessary & a privilege
“As a woman, how do I avoid being seen as ‘bossy’ or 'difficult' because I speak out about the changes our organisation needs?”
I know many of you will balk at this question; dismissing it as sexist, patriarchal, out of date, or the ‘wrong’ question. I urge you to consider that even though we desperately wish questions like this were a thing of the past they are not. They are a daily reality for many many different kinds of women. I ask you to empathise and listen to women who are filled with this fear every day because they work in a system that is nowhere near ready to explore leading differently.
My answer is this. You can’t avoid it. In this episode I introduce three steps for you to take when faced with this question.
Episode 1:
7 moments of reflection in leadership
I’m going to share with you a couple of hard earned and learned lessons of leadership for anyone who is trying to grow something. Whether that be a team, or a business - this is the not so sexy stuff people don’t always talk about. Let’s go.
Season 1 Episode 2:
How to be a gentle, imperfect activist
If you've ever thought - “I want to do something, but how can I be brave?”
This episode is for you. YouTube Video with captions Transcript file
Episode 4: Learning how to fail
How do we learn to get good at being uncomfortable?
Most people will go to any length to avoid failure. I think we should seek out situations to help us stretch our comfort zone. Imagine we looked at failure the way one ought to see learning - like when we learn to ride a bike or learn public speaking; endeavours practically impossible to master without falling and stumbling first.
Let's learn how fail.

Episode 6:
Ideas that influence how I lead
This week we’re talking about three ideas that influence how I lead.
What happens when leaders find the courage to distribute rather than hoard power? Creativity multiplies, trust deepens, and inclusivity expands… and a new kind of order emerges.
